How does Tramal work?

Tramal works by blocking the brain’s pain signal. The sensation of pain will decrease and you will become calmer. It takes a tablet of Tramal about an hour to become fully active in the body and decrease the pain. The Tramal will remain active in the body for 6-8 hours.

How do I use Tramal?

Tramal is not a regular over the counter painkiller and is prescription only. Tramal will not be prescribed for people who:

• are elderly (75+)
• are allergic or sensitive to or have had a bad reaction to opiates or any of the ingredients in the medicine in the past
• are intoxicated with alcohol or drugs
• are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors or have taken them within the last 14 days
• have liver or kidney problems or are on dialysis
