Norethisterone should only be used by women not currently taking contraceptive pills. It is important to realise Norethisterone is not a form of contraception and will not prevent pregnancy. Neither does Norethisterone protect you from STIs.
Norethisterone should be taken 3 times a day. Take your first tablet 4 to 5 days before your period would start and continue as long as you wish to your period delay to last. Norethisterone should only be taken occasionally, you should allow several normal periods to occur after you have used Norethisterone. Norethisterone should not be used more frequently than once every 4 months.
