How does Microgynon work?
Microgynon is a combined contraception pill. The hormones in the pill, oestrogen and progesterone, prevent the ovaries from releasing an egg, therefore no egg can be fertilised and you should not become pregnant. It is important that you take your pill properly, if you forget to take a pill or take it too late, its reliability may be greatly influenced.
How should I use the Microgynon contraception pill?
On the strip the respective days on which you have to take the tablet are indicated. When you use the ED form of Microgynon 30 the first 21 days you take hormone pills and then 7 days long placebos. In the 4th week the hormone levels in the blood decrease and menstruation will occur. After these 7 days you will begin again with the use of a new strip. The regular Microgynon 30 pill works the exact same way, the only difference is that you do not use placebo pills in the 4th week, you just stop taking pills for 7 days and start a new strip on the 8th day.
Can I use Microgynon 30?

- Are allergic to any component of Microgynon
- Suffer from, or have suffered from diseases of the circulatory system, especially thrombosis
