Using Levitra to help with erectile dysfunction
The penis of a man will become erect if a stream of blood rapidly enters the spongy body of the penis. This will happen under the condition of an arterial dilation, which is only possible if the surrounding musculatur becomes limp.
Semiochemicals play a very important role during this process. Nitric oxide (NO) will be released if a man is sexually stimulated. This in turn will activate another neurotransmitter, the cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). cGMP will then induce the muscle cells in the spongy body to become limp and this will provide for the inflow of blood, ergo for the erection itself. cGMP will then be catabolized by the phosphodiesterase-enzyme (PDE-5) and this will afterwards lead to the end of the erection.
How does Levitra work?
Vardenafil is part of the group of the so-called PDE-5-inhibitors. These work by inhibiting the phosphodiestrase-enzyme. As a consequence of this more cGMP will released into the blood in the penis and strengthen the erection.
But this principle will not work without the sexual stimulation of the man. Just taking the impotence pills can neither increase desire nor enforce an erection of a man.
The impact of Vardenafil will occur rapidly and persist for up to five hours. This also enables the you to have sexual intercourse spontaneously. The best results are achieved if you take a tablet about 25 to 60 minutes before intercourse.
Can I use Levitra?
Erectile dysfunction will usually occur related to other illnesses like a high blood pressure or arteriosclerosis, especially in men over 50. At the same time, impotence can be an important warning that you might suffer from one of these illnesses. When younger men (under 35) are affected by an erectile dysfunction it will in many cases be caused by psychological problems.
A few warnings apply to the use of Levitra:
- The visual performance as well as the reaction time might be affected by Levitra even if the drug has been taken correspondingly to the regulations on the patient information leaflet, so it is recommended to proceed with extra caution in traffic as well as inthe operation of machines.
- This especially applies to the simultaneous consumption of alcohol against which is advised during the whole application of Vardenafil
