Indomethacin is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAIDs). Prostaglandins are certain chemicals produced by the body, which cause fever and pain that are associated with inflammation, espcially of joints and muscles.  Indomethacin reduces the production of prostaglandins, thus reduces fever, pain and inflammation.
