Diflucan (Fluconazole)

Diflucan is used to treat vaginal thrush. Its active ingredient Fluconazole attacks the call membrane of the fungal cells which start to die within days. It might take a while for the symptoms to fully disappear, therefore it is important to finish the prescribed dosage.

When can I use Diflucan (Fluconazole)?

You can use Diflucan to treat a vaginal thrush yeast infection. You may not use Diflucan when you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Liver problems are also a contraindication for the use of Diflucan.

Fluconazole is known to interact which several other drugs. Always make sure to fully fill out the questionnaire and include any other medication you are using.

Diflucan side effects

Diflucan has relatively few side effects, but when you are using it, you might experience:

• Nausea and vomitting
• Headaches
• Diarrhoea or constipation

Vaginal thrush symptoms
