Ampicillin
Ampicillin belongs to the group of antibiotics called broad spectrum antibiotics. It is used in the treatment of urinary tract infections and it works by stopping the growth of cell walls, preventing bacteria from growing and killing them in the process.
- Used for treating: cystitis (bladder infections) and urethritis (urethra infections), gonorrohoea and acne.
- Capsules: take orally on an empty stomach, at least 30 – 60 minutes before meals/food.
- Course: usually takes 7 – 9 days.
