The active ingredient in Warticon (Wartec) is podophyllotoxin, which is a antiviral. It used to treat genital warts under the foreskin in men and external warts on the vagina in women quickly and effectively.

Before the treatment, the hands and the affected skin should be properly clean and dry. Warticon is simple to apply with a cotton bud. It is important to avoid contact between Warticon and healthy skin. Using a rich cream on healthy areas can protect from Warticon. The warts should be quite well rubbed with Warticon and you should let the skin dry well after application. After using Warticon, make sure you wash your hands carefully again.
Warticon should be applied twice a day for three days in a row. After that, allow four days of rest for Warticon do its work. When needed you can repeat treatment after these four days.
How does Warticon work?
Warticon is very effective in treating genital warts. The nucleus of the wart is destroyed by Warticon. Without functional nuclei, the warts can not grow and no longer reproduce, and will disappear gradually.
Contraindications for using Warticon:
If you are allergic to one of the ingredients of warticon (see patient information leaflet) you may not use Warticon.
You may not use Warticon if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Side effects which may be caused by Warticon:
Usually Warticon will not cause any side effects. The few side effects which do appear will be rather mild. Please notify your physician if you experience any other symptoms which you fear may be related to the use of Warticon.
