Symbicort is a very effective spray inhaler that contains two different medicines: budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate. Budesonide reduces and prevents swelling and inflammation in your longs. Formoterol fumarate dihydrate relaxes the muscles in your airways, allowing you to breathe more easily.
Used for treating: asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Important:always use the Symbicort inhaler exactly as your doctor has told you.
Dose: the usual dose is 1 inhalation, twice a day.

Contraindications for Symbicort asthma inhaler
You should not use Symbicort when you:
are allergic or sensitive to or have had a bad reaction to milk proteins or any of the ingredients in the past
have a low level of oxygen in the blood
have a metabolic problem that is untreated
have adrenal gland problems
have an aneurysm
have an infection in the airway
have heart, kidney or liver problems
have high blood pressure
have or have had tuberculosis
have unstable asthma
Should the asthma worsen while you are using Symbicort, you should inform your doctor immediately.

Symbicort has few side effects, but side effects which may occur are:
infection of the mouth and throat
irritation of the throat
