Antibiotics is a term for medicines that fight bacterial infections. Bacteria can penetrate the body and cause damage. Most of the time, the body can fight these bacteria by itself. However, when the immune system is weakened and the body is infected with bacteria, antibiotics are necessary.
Antibiotics must be taken as described by the doctor and/or pharmacist. The frequency of use should also be prescribed by the doctor and/or pharmacist. Depending on the disease, the antibiotic can be taken in the following way:
Topical (creams, lotions etc.)
It is very important to finish taking the antibiotics as indicated even if the patient feels better. Stopping the cure may make the bacteria resistant to the antibiotic and thus will not cure the condition.
